Delta, Colorado - On May 13, 2023, Dan passed away in Delta, Colorado. He was 56 years young. Dan was born and raised in Oakdale, California. He attended all his school years in Oakdale.
Dan was known for his infectious, and easily recognizable laugh, along with his compassion for animals. He also enjoyed helping others in any way he could. Dan enjoyed the outdoors, rocks, and hiking in Colorado. He loved his friends and family, he just wanted everyone to be happy no matter the situation. There are a lot of "Dan" stories out there that will make us smile and remember him fondly, that's what he would have wanted.
Dan is survived by his partner, Tammy Yocham, his Mom, Arlene Bettencourt, his Dad and Stepmon, Mike and Leslie Pettinger, his son, River, his Sister, Sandi Pettinger Brown (Brad), his niece, two nephews and great niece. Also, all his friends that he considered family.
No Services will be held. In remembrance, just get together and share "Dan Stories" in his Memory. He will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry to hear about this. Dan was definitely one of the sweetest nicest people I´ve ever met. HIS laugh was one in a million and altI am so sorry to hear about this. Dan was definitely one of the sweetest nicest people I´ve ever met although he did not have much he always shared whatever he had and he was honest in evealthough he did not have much he always shared whatever he had. He was honest in every way. HE WILL BE MISSEDhe was honest in every way.

I´ve known Danny from early on as Sandi has been my childhood friend since elementary school. I´ll always remember his laugh and that amazing smile he always had! I remember going to concerts with him and driving around in his mustang he definitely loved his cars. RIP Danny you will be missed and I extend my deepest sympathy to his family.

Dan was my cousin, I haven´t seen him for years, but his death very much saddens me. When ever I did see him I remember him as fun and full of life. A particular found memory is when we were just kids visiting our grandparents in Chicago, and he was singing "I left my heart in San Francisco" just like Frank Sinatra. I found that so hilarious! He was the life of us kids party.
Speaking of hearts, my sympathy especially goes out to his immediate family, Arlene, Mike and Sandi, I am so sorry for this heartbreaking loss.
