Donna Lynn Pagone

Donna Lynn Pagone, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Colorow Care Center in Olathe, CO, at the age of 78. Services will be held at Taylor Funeral Home in Hotchkiss, CO on June 12th at 10 am with a Graveside Memorial at Olathe Cemetery in Olathe, CO following the Service for family members.

Donna was born on November 19, 1947, in Montrose, CO, to John and Lydia (Kraus) Morlang. She grew up in Bluewater, NM, and graduated from Grants High School, New Mexico in 1965. On September 19,1966, she married Ralph Pagone in Delta, CO, and together they made their home in Hotchkiss, CO. This union blessed them with three sons: Tracy, Eddy, and Terry Pagone. In 1987, Donna and Ralph separated, but she continued to reside in Hotchkiss, where she later retired after 20 dedicated years with the Delta County Clerk & Recorder’s office.

During her last few days of life, her family reminisced on how spunky she could be, race car driving in her younger years, and making sure she had had plenty of snacks/drinks for all of the grandchildren. Donna had a deep love for her family and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. She found joy in laughing, listening to music, spending cool summer evenings watching hummingbirds, and cooking for friends and family.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Teresa Pagone; sons Eddy (Gail) Pagone of Conroe, TX, and Terry (Michelle) Pagone of Hotchkiss; her brother Mathew (Sarah) Morlang of Bluewater, NM; grandchildren Jacob Pagone of Lenmoore, CA, Justin (Chelsie) Pagone of Cortez, CO, Amber (Tyler) Gillenwater of Hotchkiss, and Cody Pagone of Salem, OR; and great-grandchildren Adrian and Hayden Pagone, and Caizlee and Raelynn Gillenwater. Along with many nieces and nephews.

Donna is preceded into death by her parents John and Lydia Morlang, her siblings Robert Morlang, Melvin Morlang, Faith Faye (Morlang), James, Anna Marie (Morlang) Zanin, Ronald Morlang, John Molang, her son Tracy Pagone and nephew Robert Morlang JR.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Hopewest Hospice Center.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
