Modesto, California - Donald Gary Podesto, born on July 15, 1942, in Modesto, CA, passed away on March 1, 2025, at the age of 82. He was a longtime resident of San Rafael, CA, and the beloved husband of Marianne Rhea Podesto. Donald was a proud father to his son, Josh Podesto, and a loving grandfather to his grandson, Joseph Podesto. He was the owner of Bear Bottom Farms, where he dedicated much of his life to his work. The family has entrusted Franklin and Downs Funeral Home with the arrangements. A burial service will be held at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery in Modesto, CA, on March 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with a celebration of life to follow in San Rafael at a later date. Donald will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
