When I didn´t hear from Grady this Christmas I searched on Google an and found that he had gone to the Lord. We met he and Ivy when he work for MaBell in Yosemite.. We were starting a church in ElPortal. Grady and Ivy were faithful members and wonderful friends. We would go see them in Atwater when ever we came to CA. Through his HAM skills them shared the Gospel all over the world. So sad to see he is gone but happy for him.

My condolences to the Williams family. I was privileged to be a good friend of Grady. He was always ready to lend a hand. He was also my brother in Christ. We both had amateur radio repeaters and would bounce ideas of one another. Going to miss him.

I did not really know Grady Williams but rather knew of him. He was a much respected leader in the local Amateur Radio community. My one interaction with him was very positive, he was warm and helpful. Thinking back over the years, I wish there had been more time to become better acquainted with him but our paths never crossed.

As a fellow ham for 6+ decades, I always smiled (and agreed) when he would say "real radios glow in the dark and real hams use Morse code." Rick Albright/KD6DKC (ex K6TBX)

Grady (K6IXA) was one of my mentors in Ham Radio; back in 1975; with another 2 friends (Jeff WB6IUK (K7IUK) and Andre (WB6ATJ), we often relied on Grady for advice in working remote international ham radio stations and on occasion had use of his setup at home to work such locations as the Clipperton Isle DX - Expedition among others. He never let up in ham radio or donating his time and service providing communication in third world locations; and, was a diehard operator till the end. His pervasive voice and laugh will be sorely missed on the bands and local W6BXN repeater. RIP Grady.
