Howard Huckabay Obituary

Howard "Red" Huckabay
September 17, 1930 - June 3, 2013
Red Huckabay passed away on Monday, June 3, 2013, in Modesto, California.  Red was born in Shreveport, Louisiana but his family moved to California and Red graduated from Mission High School in San Francisco.  He served in the Navy and worked for Bank of America for 32 years.  He married Ruth in 1950 and raised two children while living in Fremont, California.  In 1985, Red retired from Bank of America and two years later he and Ruth sold their house in Fremont and moved to Modesto, California.  Red was a passionate golfer and an avid bowler.  For years, he enjoyed singing country-western and playing the guitar.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Huckabay, his son Jim Huckabay, his daughter Janice Bussey, his son-in-law Jim Bussey, and his one and only grandson Hank Huckabay.
A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 11, at 11:30 a.m. at Shelter Cove Church, 4242 Coffee Road in Modesto.

I lost contact with you and looked on the internet to find you. I am sorry about Red's passing. I had a dream about you the other night, which made me think of all the good times we had in Fremont.
