INA MARTINA (JOHNSON) SCHULTZ JAN. 3, 1920 - FEB. 7, 2007 Ina Martina (Johnson) Schultz on February 7, 2007, beloved wife, mother and friend, INA MARTINA SCHULTZ (87) peacefully left this world to be received into the welcoming arms of her loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Born into the family of Martin Johnson (an immigrant from Sweden) and Aina Adina (Carlson) Johnson (an immigrant from Finland), in Patterson, California, on January 3, 1920, Ina was the youngest of 5 siblings: 2 sisters, Helen Wilhelmena Martinsen, and Hildur Bernice Johnson; and 2 brothers, Harold Vincent Johnson and Henry Johnson.
She attended Patterson Elementary School and Patterson High School, graduating in 1938. She furthered her education at Modesto Junior College, graduating in 1940 receiving an Associates of Arts Degree. Shortly thereafter, she moved to San Francisco with her sister, Hildur, and was employed in the accounting department of an insurance affiliate of Lloyds of London.
On June 28, 1948, in the parsonage of the Mission Covenant Church of San Francisco. Ina married Eugene Theodore Schultz of Turlock, who has been the love of her life for over 59 years. Traveling to San Diego, they honeymooned at the Hotel Del Coronado, visiting and exploring the sights and attractions of Southern California. They returned to establish their Christ-centered home in Turlock, California, and devoted herself to managing their home and raising two sons, Douglas and Stuart.
In 1965, when their sons were a little older, Ina was hired by Turlock High School as a Cafeteria Food Service Assistant and Baker, retiring in 1995, after 30 year of service and at the age of 75 years.
Ina, along with her husband, have been faithful Charter members of Monte Vista Chapel in Turlock, California, where she was active in the choir, organizing church events and wedding receptions, taking care of young children in the Children's Nursery program and visiting and encouraging individuals unable to leave their homes or care facilities to attend church services. In addition, she was active in Meals-on-Wheels. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, family and friends, visiting such places as Denmark, Norway, Sweden, England, Scotland, Ireland, Western Canada, the Caribbean, and the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, Rocky Mountain States, Missouri, Florida and the Easters, Seaboard of the United States.
Ina is survived by her beloved husband, Eugene, of Turlock, son Douglas and his wife, Sofia of Turlock, son Stuart of Mountain View, and granddaughter, Dominique Neely, of Malibu. She is preceded in death by her brother Henry (in 1916), mother Aina (in 1948), father Martin (in 1954), brother Harold (in 1992), sister Hildur (in 1996) and sister Helen (in 2005).
Ina will be remembered for: her love for her Savior and Lord, her husband, family and friends; her compassion; her consistently positive, cheerful and nurturing personality and attitude; her bravery in the face of adversity; and her laughter and seemingly boundless enthusiasm and energy.
Visitation will be held from Noon to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14th at ALLEN MORTUARY, 247 N. Broadway, Turlock, California A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, February 15th at MONTE VISTA CHAPEL, corner of Monte Vista and Berkeley Avenues, Turlock, California. Burial will be on Saturday, February 17th at the SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY NATIONAL CEMETERY, Gustine, California. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials and remembrances be made in Ina's name to WESTSIDE MINISTRIES, P.O. Box 354, Turlock, California 95381 Allen Mortuary is entrusted with arrangements.

INA WAS A CUTE LITTLE LADY WITH ALOT TO DO WE REALLY ENJOYED TAKING CARE OF HER. SHE IS GREATLY MISSED.
