To my Grandfather you will be missed but never forgotten for the things you have done in this community. One thing I will never forget you told me was never give up and stay in school to make something of myself. I love you

I did not know John real well, but what I did know made me like him. I have not seen John in 25 years. The first thought that came to me of John when I heard the news was a real genuine smile and a guy at peace with himself and life.
God Bless.

As far back as I can remember Johnny Mac was a friend to our family. My father and I were in the building trade and worked along side John on many a project, We were painters and John was the floorman. We often crossed paths in the mornings at the Sherwin Williams store. We always exchanged fishing stories or information where the hot fishing spot was at the moment. I was truely saddened to hear he had passed, He was a goodman by anyone`s standards and I am proud to say he was my friend. Thanks for the good memories "Babe" We are surely going to miss you. One thing I remember about my uncle Vernon is when we use to go on our fishing trips he was always the first one to catch a fish. I had fun growing up and knowing my uncle Vernon as the "man in the van" later to be known as the carpet man. I will miss my uncle and I am honored to have worked with him for the last six years.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief; may your memories bring you comfort. Sheryl, sorry to hear about your dad's passing. Just writing to let you know that you are in my prayers. You know we go back a long ways. My father and your father knew each other and served in the military together, but my father, Ernest Lenwood Davis (Dave), was called home early to be with the Lord. My mom knows your mom: we would always end-up in the same department stores(Kiddie Shop or Sterlings) and end up in the same clothes at Galen Clark Elementry School. Just remember and thank god you were blessed with such everlasting memories and years.
