Joseph Apodaca Obituary

IN LOVING MEMORY JOSEPH & SOILA APODACA Dad, Our Lord took you home on September 15, 1977, all to soon. Who would have thought Mom would out live you 29 years. We didn't mind a bit. Our Lord saw that Mom was missing you, so she went to meet you on August 12, 2006, at the age of 97 years. This year Mom would have turned 100 years young. With love for each other for 49 years married, you were blessed with 13 children, 28 grandchildren, 72 great-grandkids, and 30 great great-grandkids and counting. Still living are your sons, Greg Tarin Apodaca of Pasadena, Joseph Apodaca Jr., daughters, Emily Cardenas and Mary Limon all of Modesto, Gloria Gray of Waterford, Fina Ushler of Fremont and Bonnie Ortiz of Union City, and all their wonderful spouses and children. Also left are your sisters, Petra Mares of New Mexico, where you were both born, Alice Pollock, Josie Ramponi, and sister-in-law, Lucy Tarin, all of S.L., and many nieces and nephews. Preceding you in death were your sons, Mike, Jimmy, Bobby, Baby Henry Apodaca, your daughter, Eva Martinez, and Pricilla Koranda, grandchildren, Greg Apodaca Jr., Frankie Ushler Jr., and Tara E. Apodaca, all from Bay Area, which Mom helped to bury all of them. We can't pass up this time to let you both know how very much you are loved and missed and how lucky we were to have such wonderful parents. We know God found you a great home and we hope to reunite with you some day. A Mass for Our Special Precious Parents will be given on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Modesto, CA. www.modbee.com/obituaries
