Norma Pool Obituary
September 6, 1941 - November 21, 2023
Citrus Heights, California - Norma Jean Pool, longtime resident of Modesto and most recently a resident of Citrus Heights entered God's kingdom on November 21, 2023. On September 6, 1941, Eva (Gray) and Donald Bowman welcomed their daughter, Norma Jean into this world in Loveland, CO where she spent her childhood and then moved to California where she graduated from Oakdale High School. Norma Jean pursued a career in nursing, earning a masters degree and a nurse practitioner certification. Her career spanned more than 40 years with most of her service being at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. Norma Jean was also dedicated to her Christian faith and was a member of First Baptist Church in Modesto for many years. She was a regular church volunteer and truly enjoyed serving youth ministries.
Norma Jean loved her children Don and Cynthia, taking pride in their educational and career endeavors. She loved to travel taking trips across the United States and traveling abroad including Africa, Australia, Brazil, Costa Rica, China, Europe, Israel and Mexico. Norma Jean also enjoyed visiting with friends and family over a warm cup of coffee.
Norma Jean is survived by her son, Don Pool (Sandra) of Madera, CA, daughter Cynthia Feeney (Ash) of Fair Oaks, CA; her granddaughters Audra, Kylie, Daniella and Gabriella; her grandsons James and Jack; and great grandsons Paul, Uriah and Levi. Norma Jean is predeceased by her loving brother Tom Bowman.
Services will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA 95326. A viewing will be held at 10:00 AM, with services starting at 11:00 AM followed by a celebration of life reception.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. I worked with Jean Pool on the pediatric unit at DMC. She was an outstanding nurse and compassionate caregiver. May she rest in God´s peace and love.
