Peter Charles (Pete) Lencioni

Modesto, California - Peter Charles (Pete) Lencioni, born August 21, 1944, passed away November 1, 2024 after a year-long valiant struggle with cancer. Pete was a lifelong resident of Modesto. He graduated from Modesto High School with the Class of 1962, serving as class president in his senior year. He kept lifelong contact with a number of friends from his elementary and high school years. Pete was a six-year veteran of the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of sergeant and serving in Vietnam. He was the founder and owner of PCL Leasing. He was an avid golfer and a diehard San Francisco Forty-Niner fan. Pete was a long-time member of the SOS Club and Modesto Gateway Rotary Club. He gave generously of his time and talent to family and worthy causes. He was a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America Youth Mentoring Organization and served as mentor to two "little brothers" for several years. He was a devoted caregiver to many in his family including his mother, brother, his Aunt Isabella and Uncle Joe and lastly his wife Frieda. Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Nancy and Armando Lencioni, and his brother, Louie Lencioni. He is survived by Frieda Lencioni, his wife of 26 years, sons Greg Ross and Joe (Teresa) Ross; grandsons Calvin Ross, Alex (Anna) Veross, Nathan Ross, and Ian Ross, and cousins Anthony (Judy) Presto and Rose (Wayne) Staylor. A memorial service will be held at 1:30pm on Friday November 22nd, at the McHenry Chapel (located at 1050 McHenry Blvd), of the Franklin & Downs funeral home in Modesto.
