Ronald Gene Whipkey was born in Turlock, CA during the summer of 1937 to Karl and Bertha Whipkey and raised with his two siblings Carlene and Richard. For years Ron owned the Phillips 66 Service Station on Lander Avenue in Turlock. Later Ron's career brought him to International Paper where he worked for over 25 years.
Ron was a jokester at heart. He was quite a character and his laugh could never be forgotten. Fishing, camping and traveling were favorite pastimes of Ron but most of all he loved playing with his grandchildren. He deeply loved his wife Raynalda and his children Robert and David. Ron will be forever in his loved one's hearts.
Ron is survived by his loving wife Raynalda Whipkey; sons Robert (Victoria) Whipkey and David (Carlene) Whipkey; brother Richard (Cathy) Whipkey; grandchildren Dustin (Jessica) Whipkey, Derrick Whipkey, Breanne McGuire and great grandchildren Connar, Harlie and Rory Whipkey. Ron was preceded in death by his parents Karl and Bertha Whipkey and sister Carlene Voight.
Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 6 pm Thursday Feb. 4, 2016 at Allen Mortuary with a Graveside service taking place at 11 am Friday Feb. 5th at Turlock Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made in Ron's memory to Covenant Care Hospice. Please share your memories at
