Rose Hope Davi
November 11, 1919 ~ October 19, 2010

MONTEREY - Rose Hope Davi, 90, passed away
October 19, 2010. Born November 11, 1919, Rose worked in the canneries as a teenager. At 18 she married Antonino Davi and was happily married until his death in 1989.
Her faith and her family were the foundation of her life. Rose was a loving woman who treated everyone like family. She reached out to those who were
elderly and alone, and those in need.
She is survived by two sisters, Antoinette Belleci of Monterey and Francine Messina of Sparks, NV; two brothers, Randy "Sammy" Randazzo of Pacific Grove and Marco Randazzo of Carmel Valley; two sons, Frank Davi of Carmel and
Anthony Davi of South Lake Tahoe. She is also
survived by five grandchildren: Ann Davi of
Monterey, Anthony D. Davi of Carmel, Alexandra Davi of San Diego, Antonino Joseph Davi II of Maryland USN and Alissa Davi of Fullerton, CA. She is also survived by two great grandchildren, Sophia Davi and Isabella Davi, both of Carmel.
The family would like to thank all the extended family and friends who were so caring in Rose's last years, and especially the incredibly giving and compassionate staff at Pacific Rest Residential and her patient and loving doctor, Dr. Jill Tiongco of Carmel. We also thank Hospice with all our hearts for their loving support of Rose and our family
during this difficult time.
The Funeral will be held at San Carlos
Cathedral at 9:30am on Friday, October 22, 2010.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow. I did not know Mrs. Davi personally, her son Frank and my brother John (Spud) Spataro were very good friends.I no longer live in Monterey but my sister-in-law Wanda told me on the phone today. My husband and I lived at the Laine St apartments for one year before we bought our home in PG in 2003. Rose was our landlady and also came to our wedding. She was such a caring, warm person. I just learned about her passing today and send all of our thoughts and well wishes to her family. She was a wonderful person and will be missed.

My name is Mary Ann Lee (Mercurio). I was best friends with Andy Davi from kindergarten through high school and on. Andy Davi was in my wedding on December 28, 1968. I loved him dearly like a brother. We were both also very close with Don Fischella. Lucy Cefalu also a very close friend was my maid of honor.

I remember Rose very foundly while growing up and being over at Andy's house all of the time. In fact, my father Frank Mercurio added on the addition to Rose's house.

She was also so very sweet to me and I will always remember the wonderful memories of the Davi Family.

I wanted to express that my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.
