Fredie Hudson Obituary
Fredie "Joe" Hudson, age 68, of Palm Beach, Florida passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. Joe was born June 27, 1952. Coming from a humble childhood, Joe began his love of cars as a teenager. His brother Buzzy was not only a mentor, but a wonderful mechanic.
Joe joined the Army in 1971 and served his country for four years. When Joe got out of the army he then married Susan in 1976 and together they had 3 wonderful children. Joe loved his family dearly ad enjoyed coaching baseball at Southern League, going on fishing trips on his boat, Iona Louise, and cars, especially corvettes. Joe opened his first body shop in Montgomery in 1987 and was later joined by his business partner Traweek Dickson. Together they built a successful business and have expanded it into several states.
Joe is survived by his wife, Tami Hudson; daughter, Kelly (Kevin) Hellums; son, Adam (Peggy Ann) Hudson; son, Jacob (Wendy) Hudson; sister, Vicki (Glenn) Heatherly; grandkids, Abigail Hellums, Andrew Hellums, Brody Hudson, Riley Hudson, and Lincoln Hudson.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Iona Louise Hudson; father, Henry Hudson; and brother, Henry "Buzzy" Earl Hudson Jr. Joe's generosity, hospitality and living life to the fullest were just a few of the wonderful traits he had. It is a honor to continue our dads legacy.
Thank you to our extended family, friends, ballpark family, Iona Louise fishing teams and employees of Joe Hudson's Collision Center for loving our dad.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Cancer Wellness Foundation of Central Alabama or Children's Hospital of Birmingham.
