STOKES, HELEN

Helen Elizabeth Stokes a.k.a. Holly Barrie, 3-19-40 to 4-15-15 in Montgomery AL; Performer in musical theater, lead roles such as Mama Rose in "Gypsy"at The Pabst Theater in Milwaukee WS, friend of and singer at (Rodney) Dangerfield's, numerous jazz clubs, intro singer before Frank Sinatra, singer at The Playboy Clubs in Chicago and NYC, and even at The Montgomery Little Theater as lead in "Funny Girl" to rave reviews. Her wit and charm entertained many and brought much laughter to friends and family. Predeceased son, Malcolm Scott; survived by sister Diana Conte and niece Tasha Rijke, Ann Arbor MI; niece Kelly Shaw, Las Vegas, NV; cousins Buz Crump, Rosalyn Crump, Judy Crump, and Emily Johannes, Montgomery; Jean Chappell, Englewood, FL; and Helen Taylor, Alpharetta, GA.

Graveside Service: Sat. May 23, 2015 at 11am; Greenwood Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.Leak-mc.com.
