CARMICHAEL, Mrs. Ola Ree,97, a resident of Montgomery, AL departed for her heavenly home on Friday, March19, 2010 after being cared forat home over an extendedperiod of time.Funeral services will be heldFriday, March 26, 2010 at10:00 AM at St. Jude CatholicChurch with Father PaulMcQuillen officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery with Phillips-Riley Funeral Home directing.The body will lie in repose atthe church one hour prior tofuneral services.In lieu of flowers, the familywould like memorial donations made to St. Jude Catholic Parish in memory of Ola R.Carmichael, 2048 W. FairviewAve., Montgomery, AL 36108.She was a faithful member ofSt. Jude Catholic Churchsince 1938 and the Ladies ofCharity. She was a retired Dietitian from St. Jude CatholicHospital, where she workedfor over 30 years.She leaves to cherish hermemory, daughters, JuanitaJohnson, Montgomery, AL;Helen Hawkins, Dayton, OH;Aquila (Ernest) Williams; sons,James (Gloria) Carmichael,McDonough, GA; Charles (Loretta) Carmichael, Millbrook, AL; Alfred (Judi) Carmichael, Millbrook, AL; Norman (Deborah) Carmichael,Roswell, GA; sister, JuanitaReese; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-eight greatgrandchildren, two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, a host of relatives, andextended family of daughtersand sons, many dear friendsand extended family.The family sends a specialthanks to Mary Bickerstaff,Delores Gray, Mr. Fred Briers,Jr., Pat Jones, Euna McGruderThompson, Deborah Carr, thehospice staff and all of thedoctors who played a role incaring for her.A family hour will be heldThursday, March 25, 2010from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM at thechapel of Phillips-Riley Funeral Home.
