Shelly Marie Gibbs, 62, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2024, after a short battle with cancer. She left this world with grace and dignity, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on May 21, 1962, in Fort Collins, Colorado, she was preceded in death by her mother Nadine Gibbs, who will be happy to have someone to now help with the afterlife gardening. She is survived by her children Tino and Amanda Baglione, her brother Spencer Gibbs, and her father Norman Gibbs.
Shelly graduated from CSU in Fort Collins, Colorado, with her bachelor's degree in nutrition. After graduation she joined the Peace Corps where her time was spent in the East African country of Malawi. Upon her return she took a job with the WIC Program in Sante Fe, New Mexico, where she worked for several years. Shelly went on to pursue a career that involved her love of animals; she started her own business that centered on improving the health of horses through massage and energy healing.
Aside from her children, whom she dearly loved, she enjoyed knitting, meeting interesting people, finding odd jobs, writing her book, and building her own tiny home that reflected her warmth, artistry, and gentle nature. Shelly touched many lives during her time here on earth; she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Per Shelly's wishes, in lieu of a funeral, a celebration of life will be held in September for family and friends.
