Judy Young

1953 - 2021

Judy Ann Redd Young, age 67, of Lynchburg passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Jackson-Madison County General in Jackson, TN. She was born August 30, 1953, in Tullahoma. Judy was a homemaker and also enjoyed helping her parents who owned Redd's Grocery for over 50 years. She was a member of Beech Hill Baptist Church where she played piano. Judy was a wonderful cook and made sure that those she loved and cared about in her community had a hot meal. In her spare time you could find her designing the most beautiful flower arrangements. But most of all, she enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, "Rusty" Redd and her husband, Harold "Duck" Young. She is survived by her children, Leigh Ann (Scott) Willis of Murfreesboro and Kevin (Jennifer) Young of Lynchburg; granddaughters, Angelica Lightfoot, Gabrielle (Lucas) Waller and Kaycee Young, all of Lynchburg; grandson, Cody Young of Lynchburg; mother, Bobbie Hall Redd, of Lynchburg; and sister, Annie Norris of Tullahoma. Visitation was at Jennings Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services were held on February 3, 2021 at Jennings Moore-Cortner Chapel with Pastor Troy Deaton officiating.
