William B. Curtis

January 1, 1924 - July 5, 2024

William B. Curtis, age 100, of Mooresville, NC, died peacefully on Friday, July 5, 2024.

He was born in Wilkes County, NC, in 1924, to William T. Curtis and Hattie Curtis. Mr. Curtis faithfully served God and our Country in World War II as a young man for several years. He worked for N.C. State Corrections for 25 plus years as a supervisor of the maintenance departments. He was a faithful and devoted husband and father.

In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his wife, Nelle Curtis; and brothers, Jack, Donald, and Jerry Curtis.

Mr. Curtis is survived by a brother, David Curtis; his children, Terry and Donna Curtis, Brent and Margaret Curtis, Dona and Michael Parkinson; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 10, from 2 to 3 p.m., with a service following at 3 p.m., at the chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, with Rev. Mark Pitts officiating. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Hospice of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
