Gene Sprague Obituary

Gene Sprague, 89, of Florence Twp., passed away on October 3, 2018, at New Life Hospice in Lorain.
He was born on May 19, 1929, in Florence Twp., and has lived there his entire life. He was a 1947 graduate of Birmingham High School.
He spent most of his working years as a purchasing agent for Milford Rivet in Elyria, and for a short time at Pin Oak RV Sales.
He was a member of the Firelands Lions Club for many years. He enjoyed golf, gardening, watching his favorite Cleveland sports teams, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ruth (Scholl) Sprague; sons, Tim (Denise) Sprague, of Henrietta Twp. and Daniel Sprague, of Florence Twp.; two granddaughters, Kristin (Ian) Warner and Kate (Adam) Kuncel; a great-granddaughter, Joanna Kuncel; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Court and Geneva (Canfield) Sprague; his brother, Kenneth Sprague; and his twin sisters, Wahnita Harris and Wanda Poyer.
Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Morman Funeral Home, 16 Cooper Street, Wakeman.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Florence Cemetery.
