William L. Daniels

1956 - 2023

William L. Daniels, 66 years of age, and a resident of Amherst, passed away Friday, May 26, 2023 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain, following a brief illness.He was born July 11, 1956, in Taylor, Michigan. William was raised in Sheffield Lake before moving to Amherst where he had made his home for the last twenty-five years. He was a graduate of Brookside High School in Sheffield Lake.He was employed for most of his career as a machinist at Invacare in Elyria. William later went on to work at Western Enterprise for over ten years before retiring. William loved hunting and fishing and attending "Turkey Shoots" with his son Randy on a weekly basis. He enjoyed playing bingo with his wife Judith. William loved his family and was always willing to do anything for them. He loved the time he spent with his family weekly, playing board games and cards. In his spare time, William enjoyed putting puzzles together.Survivors include his children: Carrie Daniels of Amherst, Amy Daniels of Elyria and Randy Daniels of Amherst; his grandchildren: DaShawn, Aniyah and Charlie; many other children who knew him as PaPa Bill; his brother, Melvin (Stephanie) Daniels of Plainfield, Connecticut; and many other nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-one years, Judith A. Daniels (nee: Conrad) on September 9, 2021: his brother, Charles Daniels; and his parents, Charles and Donna Daniels (nee: Kaulp).Friends may call Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 5:00 until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst.
