Amonte Noel Merida

With love and great sadness in their hearts, Ivan Merida and Tiffany Spears are announcing the loss of their son Amonte Noel Merida. Due to injuries sustained in a car accident, Tiffany delivered Amonte two months early. He was unable to recover from injuries and passed shortly after delivery.
An angel before birth and now an angel in death; Amonte leaves behind his father Ivan Merida, mother Tiffany Spears, sister Alixandria Merida, maternal grandparents Brenda Spears and Hector Berzunza of Pittsburg, James and Karen Spears of Texas, great grandmothers Darline Banzet of Bernice, OK and Rose Marie Spears of Long Beach, CA. Paternal grandparents Rafael S. and Dialma Merida of Pittsburg, great-grandfather Rafael A. Merida of Pittsburg and great-grandmother Francisca Morales of Guatemala. Amonte also has many aunts, uncles and cousins that will miss him dearly.
Amonte will be cared for and watched over in heaven by his great aunt Angie Tomlinson, great uncle Steven Rooney, great-grandfathers Loren 'Bud' Tomlinson and Wayne Spears, great-grandfather Filomeno Morales and great-grandmother Gumercinda Merida and many others.
The Spears and Merida families would like to thank all the friends and family for their wonderful love and support shown thru this difficult time of loss.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday January 3, 2014 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg with Reverend James Sukraw officiating, burial will follow in the Cherokee City Cemetery.
