Died: August 10, 2016; in Dwight, IL
Frank T. Murphy, 88, of Dwight, passed away August 10, 2016 at his home in Dwight surrounded by his family.
Visitation will take place from 4:00 to 7:00pm on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Hager Memorial Home, Dwight. A rosary will be recited at 3:45pm. Funeral services will be at a later date in Minnesota. Burial will be in St. Nicholas's Catholic Cemetery in Belle River, Minnesota.
Frank was born in Chicago, IL on November 21, 1927 to George Joseph and Margaret Jane (Crohan) Murphy. He married Vivian Collins in Belle River Minnesota on August 31, 1963. She survives in Dwight.
Also surviving are daughters, Mary (Tom) Hogan of Morris, Erin (Eric) Frobish of Morris; sister in law, Elizabeth Murphy of Chicago; grandchildren, Aindrea "Daah" and Shannon Hogan of Morris, Ethan, Elaina "Ellie" and Emma Frobish of Morris; many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; step mother, Mary McKeating-Murphy; brothers, George and Robert Murphy; sister, Anna Mae Murphy; and sister in law, Mary Murphy.
Frank worked at the Bank of Dwight as Board Chairman for many years and was a part of the Dwight Rotary Club, the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion, the Irish Fellowship, the Chicago Athletic Club, the Union League Club of Chicago and the Pontiac Elks Club. Above all Frank was devoted to his family and always enjoyed spending time with them.
