Ron was born on November 28, 1950 to Theodore "Ted" and Theresa (Posch) Czech at St. Gabriel's Hospital in
Little Falls, MN. Ron was Baptized at St. Stanislaus Church in Sobieski. Growing up with his brothers and sisters, Kenny, Gery, Karen, Sharon, Tom, Mary and Debbie. He started school at District 1191, a one-room schoolhouse and graduated from Little Falls High School, Class of 1968. Ron met Janice Otremba at a dance at the Falls Ballroom in 1971, and they became best friends. They married on November 30, 1974 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church,
Little Falls, MN. Janice learned early from Ron, "Love me, Love my Farm!" They were blessed with two sons, Robbie and Randy. Their sons married, adding two wonderful daughters-in-law to the family. Grandchildren, Adrianna, Tyler, Erika and Cody are his greatest blessing; he always said, he loved hearing them say, "Hey Grandpa," and great times together would follow. Ron worked at Polar Mfg. in Opole. He started as a welder and was a foreman before he decided to go full-time farming. Ron started farming in high school, farrowing sows and selling little pigs, many times at Little Falls, the biggest little pig market, renting land to raise feed, also doing custom corn picking and other custom farming. Adapting to markets, he went from hogs to crops then cattle and hay. As a full-time farmer, Ron was known for miles around as the go to guy for help looking for machinery or parts. Looking for farm machinery was his hobby, usually having someone with him to make the trips more enjoyable. Through life, he kept a positive attitude, a gift from his dad who told him, if you can see your way through it, it will happen. He was good-hearted and always had time to visit with family and friends to talk over any problems they had; he taught them what to do to take care and decide for themselves. Ron was a life-long member of St. Stanislaus Church in Sobieski. He was a member of the Lone Eagle Auto Club. Ron was a charter member of the Sobieski Lions Club. Ron enjoyed traveling with Janice, going on many bus trips throughout the United States and Alaska. And yearly family cabin trips to Kilworry Resort on Whitefish Lake. Ron enjoyed fishing summer and in winter, spearing and angling. He loved deer hunting and was known to be good at the long shots.
Ron is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janice; sons, Rob (Pam) Czech and Randy (Sheila) Czech; grandchildren, Adrianna, Tyler, Erika and Cody Czech; brothers and sisters, Ken (Joannie) Czech, Karen (Dennis) Piekarski, Sharon(Ted) Knopik, Tom (Pam) Czech, Mary (Mike) Hesick, Debbie (Mike) Klosowski; sister-in-law, Bonnie Czech; Goddaughters, Janel Poser and Jada Czech and many nieces and nephews.
