Elick Wood Obituary

Elick Lee Wood, 53, beloved brother of John H. Wood III (Marsha), Robin Wood, and Sarah Wood Parker (Paul) passed peacefully in the morning hours on June 5, 2025, at the Charleston VA Hospital. Elick Lee was born in Charleston, SC and moved to Milledgeville, GA, at a young age with his parents. He graduated Baldwin High and shortly after joined the Coast Guard. Lee made his home between Atlanta, Milledgeville, Savannah, and Charleston. He worked at Lazor Spot in management for many years, and then Budweiser, and even trained as an electrical apprentice. Lee spent his free time woodworking and helping friends and family with car repairs and building sheds, pergolas and similar. He most enjoyed the in-depth study of the Bible, and he had an amazing ability to share it with others. A Memorial Service will be held July 12, 2025, at 11 AM at the St. Andrews United Methodist Church at 3225 Ashley River Rd, in Charleston, SC. There will be a final service at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville GA, in August. Date to be announced at a later time.
