Carol and I worked together (our desks were literally two feet apart) for 4 years in the Texas Ranger's Office in Midland. We had so many good times! We shared laughter, tears, and lots of peanut M&M's. I'll never forget the day we locked the office (without permission) and went to Shakey's to eat and play video games. We ended up trapped in the game room, because the only way out was to walk right past our boss, Captain Maurice Cook and his wife, who happened to have shown up at the same place for lunch!! Carol, always the one to take the lead, said, Let's go! She walked right up to his table, with a shocked look on her face, and said, WHO is answering the phones at the office?! He kept eating, as he said, Apparently NOBODY! We rushed out and laughed all the way back to the office. Carol, I know you're in Heaven catching Duck up on all the latest about those girls of yours!

Carol was a good friend who was easy to talk to. Her time with the Texas Rangers was cherished by all. She always had a hug for me.
