Clyde Chynoweth Obituary
Clyde Earl Chynoweth, 91, of Midland, Texas passed away on March 30, 2008. He was born in 1917 in Allouez, Michigan to William and Cora Mai Dawe Chynoweth. Following his service in WWII, Clyde married Eunice Charlotte Anderson in 1946. He earned his Master's degree in Geology form Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan in 1950, beginning a career the following year as a geologist for Atlantic Richfield Oil Company. In 1970 he began his second career as a geology teacher at Midland College, retiring in 1991.
An true adventurer at heart, Clyde adored travel, having set foot on every continent. Clyde loved young people and in addition to teaching and training students at Midland College, he was a local Boy Scoutmaster for twenty-three years where he passed on his love of the outdoors. His quiet, practical faith and love for people has had a deep impact on hundreds of young people's lives as he helped them grow and mature as young leaders through teaching and scouting. The stories of his youth, his travels, his geology adventures, and his love for Eunice have provided his friends and family with many rich memories of joy, laughter, and love.
Eunice, his wife of 55 years, passed away in 2001. He is survived by his three children and their spouses; Bill and Helen Chynoweth (Lansing, MI), Linda and Larry Penny (Midland, TX), John and Lynn Chynoweth (Orlando, FL); his grandchildren Beth and Bill Dietz (Roseville, MI), Amber and Matthew Anderson (Midland, TX), Jim and Jessie Chynoweth (Bogata, Colombia), and Mike and Michelle Chynoweth (Orlando, FL), and two great- granddaughters, Liliana and Isabella, It brought him great joy to know his third great-grandchild is eagerly expected in October.

Visitation will be at 10 am Saturday April 5th at St. Nicholas Episcopal Church, 4000 W. Loop 250 N in the Fellowship Hall. The service will follow at 11 am in the church. Graveside service will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Ernesto Carrasco Collazo
Ernesto Carrasco Collazo, 57, passed away on March 31, 2008.
He was born on July 7, 1950 in Midland, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Rosendo Collazo and is survived by his mother, Manuela Carrasco Collazo, two brothers, Rene Collazo and Freddie Collazo; one daughter, Judy Collazo, two grandsons; wife, Anita Pineda and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews in Midland, Odessa and Lubbock, Texas.
Rosary will be held on Thursday at 7 p.m. Burial services will be on Friday at 2 p.m.

Eloise McCuin Sewell
Eloise McCuin Sewell, 87, died Monday, March 31, 2008, at the Medical Center of South Arkansas.
Born October 21, 1920 in El Dorado, the daughter of Thomas W. & Hassie L. Sparks McCuin, she was a devoted wife and mother, an accomplished seamstress, an excellent cook and homemaker. She loved pretty things and especially loved collecting glassware and crystal. She relished her role as "Mamaw" and rarely passed up an opportunity to baby-sit.
A life-long member of First Baptist Church, she was a member of the Mary Sunday School class and attended faithfully until her health no longer permitted. She was also a faithful member of the WMU "Circle" group and the Prime Timers.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her step-mother, Lena Goins McCuin; two brothers, Thomas McCuin and Earl Goins McCuin; and two sisters, Inez McCuin and Azell McCuin.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, S. Curtis Sewell; a daughter, Carolyn Jane Gaunt and her husband, Bill, all of El Dorado; a son, Alan C. Sewell and his wife, Kay, of Midland, Texas; and three grandsons, Bradley S. Gaunt, a student at Mississippi State University, currently in Senegal, West Africa, Kedric A. Sewell, a student at Texas A & M University, and Aubrey C. Sewell of Midland, Texas. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Shirley Dumas, two nieces and a nephew.
The funeral service will be held at 10am Thursday in Young's Chapel with Dr. Lynn Worthen and Wilson Borosvskis officiating. Interment will follow at Fredonia Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
Beatriz Costes Buaquen
Beatriz Costes Buaquen, of Midland, died Sunday, March 30, 2008.
She was born in Baguio City, Philippines on September 4, 1912 to Alejandro Costes and Filomina Domingo. Beatriz married Floro Padua Buaquen on June 22. 1932. He preceded her in death on April 7, 2007. Floro and Beatriz immigrated to the United States in 1977 and settled in Midland where the rest of their children and families later joined them.
Beatriz is preceded in death by her four children, Floro, Albert, Leona, and Baltazar.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Napoleon of Hawaii, Vic of Houston, Elizabeth de Guzman and Laurencio of Midland, Flora Hale and Stephen of Midland, Philip and Patricia of Odessa, Rashidah Leonara and Mahmud of Malaysia, Josephine Lunines and James of Midland, and Leah Baquirin and Paul of Midland; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Beatriz loved the Lord, her family and people. This love was extended to three nephews whom together with her husband, raised and educated. They are Antonio Pugongan and his wife Tessie of Sacramento California, Jacinto Sad-ang and his wife Caridad of Tabuk, Philippines and Moses Sad-ang and Paulina of Tabuk, Philippines. In Midland, she also met Angelina Walton and her husband Ronnie and took them as family.
The family will receive friends at Ellis Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, Thursday, April 3, 2008 and Friday, April 4, 2008 between the hours of 6:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M. Beatriz was a member of Kelview Heights Baptist Church in Midland where the services to honor her memory and celebrate her going home to her Saviors heaven will be held on Saturday April 5, 2008 at 11:00 A.M.

Andrew Newel Beauchamp
Andrew Newel Beauchamp of Midland, 28 years old, passed away suddenly April 1, 2008 of heart complications at Midland Memorial Hospital. Family and friends will gather from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory in Midland. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, April 4, 2008 at Fairview Cemetery in Midland.
Andrew was born March 16, 1980, the only child of Newel and Constance Beauchamp. His father, Newel, preceded him in death in 2004. Andrew was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout, obtaining the rank of Eagle. He was a 1998 honors graduate of Midland High School. He participated and was an officer in Student Council and was a lawyer for Teen Court. Andrew attended Texas Tech University, where he majored in Government and History and was a member of Chi-Ro fraternity. Andrew had worked in office supply, printing and graphic design. His most recent employment was in the office of a major oil company.
He is survived by his loving mother, Constance, many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends who loved him and will miss him forever.

Gladys Nell Thomason
Gladys Nell Thomason, 88, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2008 in Granbury. Graveside was held Tuesday, April 1 at 10 a.m. in Granbury Cemetery.
Gladys was born March 31, 1919 in Whitney to Will W. and Mable Grisham Jones. She served in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps
