Frank Engler

Frank Engler, 78, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away January 13, 2014 at the Kansas City Presbyterian Manor. He was born May 21, 1935 in Odessa, Texas. He graduated from Ashdown High School in Ashdown, Arkansas and received a degree in Education from Baylor University, in Waco, Texas. Frank was an elementary school teacher for more than 15 years in Midland, Texas. Following his years of teaching, he owned Turquoise Treasures in Midland and Odessa. He married Mary Mae Aldridge in July, 1956 and they were married 23 years. Frank is survived by his son, Stephen W. Engler and his wife, Carole, of Wiesbaden, Germany; his cousins, Marilyn Locke of Kansas City, Kansas and Claralyn Evans and her husband, Lawrence, of Kansas City, Missouri. He is also survived by two step-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1300 North 18th Street, Kansas City, Kansas. A reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the St. Paul's Food Pantry. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.CremationCenterKC .com.
