Robert L. Denney, 74, passed away Nov. 25, 2025, in Midland, Texas. Born May 20, 1951, in Winnsboro, Texas, he graduated from Hobbs High School in 1969 and spent most of his career working in the oilfield-a profession he proudly shared stories about with anyone willing to listen.
Robert loved the outdoors and rarely turned down a day of fishing, golfing, or tennis. He enjoyed spending time on the lake and caring for his bass boat. A fan of Electric Light Orchestra, he could often be found with their music playing nearby.
He is survived by his sister, Kathy (Mark); daughter, Lori (Ben); son, Scotty (Amy); and four grandchildren: Reagan, Harper, Mason, and Theo. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Bobbie; sisters, Eileen and Coleen; and brother, Wesley. Robert will be remembered for his stories, laughter, and love of life outdoors.
