Glen "Pete" Morrison, 87, of Stanton, died, Thursday, October 29, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, November 2, 2015, at the Downtown Church of Christ with Kendall Tomlinson, officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Gilbreath Funeral Home. He was born April 2, 1928 to Seth and Lela Hagans Morrison in Loraine, Texas and married Pat Miller March 25, 1950 in Martin County, Texas. She preceded him in death July 14, 2000. Pete came to Martin County as a young boy and graduated from Stanton High School. He farmed all of his life. He served on the boards of Stanton Farmers COOP Gin and the Martin County Hospital District. He was an original founder and board member of the Martin County Senior Citizens Foundation. Survivors include two daughters, Kimberlie Karol Schmelter and husband, Bob; and Vickie Lynn Robertson Sorley and husband, Herb, all of Stanton; six grandchildren, Julie Luna, Wendi Romero, Miranda Chadwick, Jody Robertson, Cody Robertson and Dylan Schmelter; and eight great-grandchildren, Brooke and Bella Chadwick, Austin and Laci Luna, Madison and Mason Murdock and Braylon and Boston Aragonez. He was also preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Romell Saunders and Tillie Snead. The family suggests memorials to the Martin County Senior Citizens, P. O.
