Jesse Corrales

Jesse Corrales passed away October 19, 2012 in Midland, TX. He was born in Midland, TX to Jesus G. and Oralia Corrales. He graduated from Lee High School. He married Marlene Mazon in New York City. He led his life with a vigor like no other in many different places, in New York and Texas amongst others. He enjoyed reminiscing with his family and friends and told stories we will always remember. He loved exercising his brilliance at work and in his personal life. From playing chess and discussing Kasparov's strategy to his love of music from Beethoven to Johnny Cash he always amazed the world with his intellect. His hands were equally talented in landscaping and putting together soil, plants and flowers that showed us how beautiful nature was in a way he only could. The one thing he was most proud of was his son Jesus Danie Corrales who graduated from Brooklyn Law School and is a prosecutor in New York. His heart and soul was a bedrock of support for his son and he always told him that if someone could make it in New York then they could make it anywhere, which they both accomplished successfully. He will be missed by many people in many different places. Jesse is survived by his son, Jesus D. Corrales of Astoria, NY; father and step-mother Jesus G. and Connie Corrales of Midland; two brothers David and Elena Corrales and Rudy and Socorro Corrales all of Midland; two sisters Janie and Arthur Correa of Austin, TX and Sylvia and Mike Hanna of Midland; and numerous aunts and nephews. Jesse is preceded in death by his mother Oralia Corrales; brother Heginio Corrales; and his grandmothers Maria Sotelo and Adela Tarango. Funeral Mass is today, October 22, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Mark Stroba, OMI officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
