Michael Adam Dunham, 23, of Midland, passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021. He was born on September 8, 1997 to Mable Ann Austfjord and Joseph Dunham Jr. in Dallas, TX. He was raised in Utah and moved to Midland in 2015. Michael attended Robert E. Lee High School, and worked at Chick-Fil-A, Lowe's, Home Depot, Pool Technique; and also worked alongside his father Kevin as a "handyman" apprentice. Michael was known for his amazing smile, quick wittiness and he always lit up the room when he walked in with his contagious attitude. He had many interests including playing chess, which he "always won" and he loved to debate. He was very meticulous in the way he would cut yards and also groom the family pets. He enjoyed his mother and his aunt cooking his favorite meals, including pupusas and cherry delight dessert. He loved to watch endless hours of Anime and binge watch shows and movies; listen to music until the late hours of the night. He enjoyed picking fights with his little niece Eliana, then making up with her by making cupcakes together. Although his life was short lived, Michael made a huge impact on all who knew him. He will forever be loved and cherished and will live in our hearts forever. Michael is survived by his mother Mable and husband Kevin Austfjord of Midland, TX and father Joseph and wife Rosemelita Dunham Jr. of Odessa, TX; his grandparents Darrell and Juanita Murphey of Midland, TX and Grandfather Joseph L. Dunham of Graham, TX; his brothers, Joe Angel Limon of Midland TX, Joshua Austfjord (Lindsey) of Casselton, ND, Nathan Austfjord of Cavalier, ND and sisters Jade Austfjord of Grafton, ND and Jasmine Ivana Dunham of Odessa, TX; his nieces and nephews, Eliana Ann Limon of Paducah, TX; Emma, Lilly, Lucy and Beau Austfjord of Casselton, ND; Sophia and Caleb Austfjord of Cavalier, ND; his aunts, uncles and cousins: Janie G. Bynum (Paula) and children Samantha Rotan, David Flores and Andrew Flores of Midland, TX, Kathy G. Bennicas (Todd) and children Olivia and Sean Bennicas of Strasburg, PA, Susan Diaz (Randy) and children Daniel Ruiz, Izaya Ruiz, Aisa Bustamante and Zaida Diaz of Midland, TX, Amy Carbajal (Mark Ochoa) and children Mateja Flores and Aziza Carbajal-Ochoa of Midland, TX. Michael was preceded in death by his grandmother Ivana Jones. A visitation with the family will be from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 pm Friday, July 2, 2021 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
