We are sad to announce the passing of Ulysses H Maxwell. A long time resident of Midland for over 70 years. Ulysses Maxwell passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by loved ones on March 13, 2024, in Waco, TX. Celebration for Ulysses Maxwell is on March 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at McDowell Chapel 1725 Gholson Road, Waco, TX 76705.

I met Ulysses when I was working at Midland National Bank. He was kind, proud, funny and hardworking man. He would tell me stories of his childhood. And would always make me laugh before he left. Rest in peace Ulysses I have thought of you often.

Bro Maxwell, you will be truly missed by all that knew you. You were such a giving and caring person , always so willing to help those in need. I will miss your smile and you always sitting in your favorite spot in church in the seat in front of me. May you rest in peace.
