Vernon Brown Jr., 42, of Midland, TX, passed away on June 29, 2025.
Vernon was born on January 16, 1983, in Midland, TX to Vernon and Sara Brown. He was a proud father of nine children and a loving grandfather. While he faced some ups and downs along the way, his love for his family, children and grandchildren was undeniable.
"JR" was known for his warm heart, sense of humor, strong spirit, and unforgettable smile... especially when his infamous gap tooth was making an appearance. He had a true gift for making people laugh, and there was something about his presence that brought comfort to those around him. He'll be remembered for how he showed up for the people he loved... not perfectly, but ALWAYS with his Heart.
He is survived by his wife who loved and shared in life's journey with him: Tasha Brown; his parents who stood by him with unwavering love: Vernon and Sara Brown; his beautiful children who each carry a piece of his heart and legacy: Janna Alise Lewis-Brown, Isaiah Michael Brown, Aryssa Faith Brown, Tamia Always Winn, Aleigha Marie Winn, Jordan Marcelino Brown, Journey Santiesteban, Sinica Tuck and Sophie Long; his cherished grandchildren: Addison Marie Ortega, Zakai'Yah Nasi Harden, Jahseh Mateo Brown, August Dean Britt and Joseph Anthony Arellano III; his siblings who knew him best: Joann Brito, Christina Primus and Julia Gaither; and his brother-in-law Cody Gaither; his four treasured nieces and nephews: Sara Ariane Brito, Kenzi Rae Ramzy, Makayla Wynnet Brown, Pulelei'ite Marcel Primus and a ton of extended family and friends who cherished and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his grandmothers: Simona Quiroz and Winnet Brown; his grandfathers: Marcelino Brito and Nathaniel Brown and his brother-in-law: Stanley Primus.
