Carolyn Svejkovsky
March 27, 1941 - November 1, 2024
On November 1, 2024, the best woman in the world (to us) received her real Angel wings.
Carolyn was born March 27, 1941, the eldest and only daughter to Dresen (Bud) and Minnie (nee Hoetmer) Griebler, in Seattle, Wash. After attending high school, receiving nothing but A's in all her classes (always the bookworm) she attended the University of Washington where she received her first B in P. E. as that was the first class in the morning and she couldn't get her hair wet!
A few years after her move to Montana she met her soul mate and best friend Rick Svejkovsky and they would go on to live, love and laugh their lives to the fullest for the next 40 plus years as Ram and Papa. They were the couple you would see sitting next to each other going everywhere together, until of course bench seats in trucks went out of fashion. They were the perfect couple with enduring and unconditional love. The perfect match for all of us to follow and try to live up to.
Mom never missed a birthday or celebration or a tearful event. Sending flowers or finding that perfect gift for all the family, friends, and employees she cherished. Always busy in the kitchen preparing for the next holiday or celebration. Mom and Dad even catered and did the cooking for their grandson's wedding when she was 72. That was really no challenge for her though, she was still working at 83 until just a couple short months ago.
From a pharmacist to co-owning Carpet One with her husband, and several random gigs in between there was always time for family and friends. Always that smile that could light up a room to greet you, always time to listen and have great meals on the table.
Upon becoming a grandparent, the name Ram was adopted and became the staple name to all of us. From that point on she was Ram to everyone, and thus together Rick and Carolyn became Ram-Papa.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Rick; brother, Larry Griebler; daughters, Lisa (Rich) Sheridan, and Nikole (Tony) Pencile; sons, Ricky Svejkovsky and Randy Svejkovsky; grandchildren, Buster (Shanna) Hansen, Richelle Sheridan, Danny (Kaydin) Sheridan, Brooke Svejkovsky, Vinny (Jacy) Svejkovsky and Franklin Svejkovsky; great grandchildren, Oakley, Khaleesi and Ender Hansen, Blakely Sheridan and Trea Svejkovsky; special sister-in-law, Bev Svejkovsky; and many more friends and family who meant so much to her, you know who you are!
She was predeceased by her parents and in laws, her special brother-in-law, Bob Svejkovsky; and co parent-in-law, Richard Sheridan; and so many more of the Svejkovsky and Griebler clan too numerous to name them all.
Mom, there will be many more challenges over the next few years to live up to the holiday celebrations and traditions you have set in place. We will do our best to honor you and live every day to its fullest! A hug, a kiss and I love you good night! See you tomorrow! Will always be our motto.
Per her wishes there will be no services, only a gathering of friends and family in the Spring/early summer in Wise River for interment. The date will be announced.
We would like to give a special thanks to her nurse Karli who took such great care and consideration of her. She appreciated and enjoyed your visits with her. Her granddaughter Richelle who also took special care of her and they also had many late-night early morning ice cream parties together too.
