Patricia Gaye Pritchett
January 20, 1942 - March 13, 2024
On March 13, 2024, Patricia Gaye Pritchett passed away at the Crest Nursing Home in Butte, MT from long standing medical conditions. She was 82 years old.
Gaye was born on January 20, 1942, in Shelby MT to Charles Frederick (Fred) and Nellie Pritchett. She attended school at Ross Fork and Cheadle and graduated from Fergus County High School in 1960. She graduated from Whitworth College in Spokane, WA and worked at various hospitals in WA and MT as a Medical Technologist. For many years she was the Administrative Technologist and Lab Manager for Northwest Hospital, and then Educational Coordinator for the School of Medical Technology for Children's Orthopedic Hospital, both in Seattle WA.
In 1986 she purchased Homespun House, a knitting and needlework shop, in Kalispell, fulfilling a life-long dream to become an entrepreneur. She loved to knit and was expert at it. Gaye loved all animals, especially the many dogs she had over the years.
Gaye's parents preceded her in death, as well as her brother, Thomas Charles Pritchett, who died in 2022. She is survived by two sisters, Faye Irene Pritchett of Butte, and Joy Ann (Michael) Manning of Billings, as well as several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Karen Joyce of Butte for all her friendship and love over these many years, and to the Crest for their care.
