Diane McAllister, 72, of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023 at UnityPoint Health-Trinity Bettendorf.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Muscatine. Following the services, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Community Room. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be left to The Muscular Dystrophy Association in memory of Diane.

Diane Marie Todd was born on August 29, 1951, in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of Edward and Lilly (Ostergaard) Todd. On June 23, 1979, she was united in marriage to Vernon McAllister in Rock Island, IL. Diane was a nurses aid before starting her family. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crossword and word puzzles and watching Hallmark movies, Westerns, soap operas and ISU Cyclone sports. She was an excellent cook and around Christmas time could be found making cookies and peanut brittle for her family. When her children were in school, she was very active as a classroom mother, attending all the fundraisers, field trips and sporting events. Most of all, she loved being with her family.
Diane will be missed by her husband, Vernon of Muscatine; children: Eric McAllister of Des Moines, and Kelly McAllister of Austin, TX; brothers, Bill Todd of Roy, UT, and Dave (Victoria) Todd of Sherrard, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Rich Todd.

Vern, Kelly and Eric...I am so sorry for your loss. I know how much you love Diane, so do I. I sent a memorial donation in her honor to The Muscular Dystrophy Association . I am going to miss our weekly talks. I Love You all, Brother/Uncle Bill
