Roger Houseman

Roger Houseman, age 76, of Muskegon, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 15, 2025. Born on January 13, 1949, to Lawrence and Evelyn Ruth Houseman, Roger grew up with a deep appreciation for nature, craftsmanship, and the family legacy he carried with him throughout his life.
Roger spent much of his professional life at Blink Lumber in Marne, Michigan, where he built not only a career but a reputation for hard work and reliability. After retiring, he embraced the hobbies that brought him joy and calm: caring for his saltwater fish aquarium, bird watching, woodworking, and ocean cruising. His love of music came alive when he watched his brother and nephew's band perform live, and his happiest moments were often spent visiting his children, his son in Arizona and his daughter near Chicago.
Roger is survived by his children, Christopher (Sharon Zhang) Houseman and Angie (Ken) Strauss; and his two beloved grandchildren, Gunner and Sophie, who brought light and laughter into his later years.
He will be remembered as a gentle soul with a thoughtful heart and a quiet appreciation for life's simple pleasures. His presence will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved him.
