William Baeder Obituary

William F.V. Baeder III, DDS, Bellingham, WA passed away January 7, 2025. He was born February 27, 1943 in Forth Leavenworth, Kansas as the only child to William F.V. Baeder II and Gerda (Cypreansen) Baeder. While attending dental school at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, he met Janet Moran. The two were married on February 1, 1969. After graduating dental school in 1968, he enlisted in the U.S. Army as a captain and completed three years with a tour of duty in Vietnam. After discharge he continued to serve his country in the Army Reserves until he retired as a Lt. Colonel in 1990. Bill practiced dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska for 40 years. He and Janet raised three children Will (Jenni) Baeder of Aurora, CO, Anna Andreski (Pete) of Burlingame, CA, and Amanda Blue (JJ) of Bellingham,WA. He leaves behind 7 grandchildren He delighted in spending time with family and in life-long learning of finance, construction and German. He enthusiastically stepped up to lend his help to cut, build, or plaster his way to improve our homes. His children and grandchildren noted his top 3 Duo Lingo standing. During his last two years he enjoyed Bible Study Fellowship. Bill will be remembered by those who knew and loved him as a dependable, hard-working provider. He was a perfectionist when it came to dental work and gave of his time, talent, and treasure to causes dear to him. It was a privilege to meet Bill and the whole on the Baeder Family on the same school exchange like Jan Kopfmann, a year earlier in 1989. Bill was a wonderful and friendly man, just as all Baeders are. Best wishes despite the terrible loss.

I believe I was with Dr. Baeder for 16 years. From full time to very part time. He was an excellent dentist and wonderful boss. I really enjoyed work with him. He was also very good to my family. He well be deeply missed.

I am so sorry for the loss. Bill and Janet were the best host-parents during the student exchange back in the 1990ies. The deep friendship is lasting ever since. Thank you all so much.
