Dave was an amazing person. He did great, so others could have good. He went above the carved line of satisfactory whenever given the chance. Dave was my mentor, my teacher and my friend. I can fondly remember endless conversations about musical equipment and gear that i bought with him. Dave always made sure I could use them correctly, and gave me tips to extend their musical bounds and parameters. Dave gave me a copy of his last album about 2 years ago, I still listen to it frequently. He was a musical genius to say the least. He taught me more about audio equipment and production in short conversations, than my teachers at my high school did teaching full year courses. Truly, he was an inspiration. Thanks to him, i excelled. I became proficient in writing and producing my own music. Needless to say, all of my achievements on the road to success are thanks to him. I owe it to Dave to continue my musical career from where he sadly left. The road ahead without him will be long and challenging. However i know in my heart, Dave would want me to continue. Whenever I play music, I feel like he is listening.
To the Family and Friends of David Alan "Dave" Hershey, may God sooth your hearts and your souls with reassurance that you will all one meet again. May our fond memories of him reside within us. May he rest in peace.

Im so sorry to hear about Daves passing. Ive been a customer at Freehold Music since 1994 and Dave has helped me out with so many purchases! He was always so cool. We used to talk about Ozzy and metal a lot when I was there. I only saw him a few times at the new location because I moved farther away. Rock on Dave in Heaven!!
