John J. Kindlick

South Amboy - John J. Kindlick, age 94 of South Amboy, passed away Saturday October 20, 2018 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge. Born in Hopelawn, he had resided in South Amboy for over 65 years. Before his retirement, John worked as a sheet metal worker with the Union Local 27 for many years. He was a US Navy veteran of both WWII and the Korean War. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in South Amboy.

He is predeceased by his wife Ann in 2011, his grandson Kenneth Kindlick, Jr.,his brother Harold and his sister Lorraine Hogya.

Surviving are his children and their spouses Thomas and Dianne, Kenneth, Nancy Ciandella and Michael & Leanne, his grandchildren Danielle, Kristen, Samantha, Cameron & Paige and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday 11:00am at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin, with a burial to follow at the NJ Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 3:00pm to 7:00pm

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic War Veterans National Headquarters P.O. Box 5356 Astoria, NY 11105-5356.
