John Miske Obituary
AGE: 82 • Manchester Township
John A. Miske, 82, of Manchester Twp., formerly of Clifton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014. Born in Passaic, Mr. Miske lived in Clifton for all of his life before moving to Manchester Twp. in 2006. Before retirement, he was the owner of John's Clifton Hobby Shop on Lexington Avenue in Clifton. Previously, he was employed with Bright Star Industries in Clifton and also worked with his father at John A. Miske Real Estate and Insurance Co. of Passaic. Mr. Miske was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving from 1953-1955 during the Korean War. He was a member of the Garden State Circle Burners Model Airplane Club and was an active angler, enjoying both fresh water and salt water fishing in South Jersey and Florida.
Mr. Miske is survived by his beloved wife, Elaine J. (nee Quick) Miske of Manchester Twp.; his dear niece, Alice S. Pych, of Florida; and by several cousins and close dear friends.
Visiting from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9 at the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral services will be 9:15 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10 from the funeral home and 10 a.m. at St. Paul R.C. Church, cor. Union Avenue and Second Street, Clifton. Private cremation to follow.
