AGE: 84 • Seaside Park
Joseph DeFilippis, 84, of Seaside Park, NJ died on Tuesday June 6, 2017 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. He was born in Newark, NJ and lived in Seaside Park, NJ. Joseph was the owner and operator of the Windjammer Motor Inn in Seaside Park, NJ for 40 years. A devoted family man who lived his life surrounded by his children and grand children.
Joseph is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Maria DeFilippis; his wife Josephine DeFilippis and his siblings Nicholas, Thomas "Pee-Wee", Marie, Angie and Fortune.
Surviving are his children Joseph DeFilippis and his wife Margaret of Seaside Park, NJ and Frank DeFilippis and his wife Laura of Lavallette, NJ; his grandchildren Joseph, Leah and Landon; his sister Esther; his sister in law Louise BeFumo and many loving nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Sunday June 11, 2017 from 3-7pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 809 Central Ave. Seaside Park, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday June 12, 2017 at 10am at St. Catharine of Siena in Seaside Park, NJ. Entombment will follow to St. Joseph Cemetery in Toms River, NJ. Condolences may be sent by visiting www.ryanfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis Tennessee 38105.
