Nancy Eileen Vaughan Walsack of Oceanport, New Jersey and Vero Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday April 11, five days shy of her eightieth birthday. Born in Norristown, Pennsylvania, Eileen grew up in West Point, Pennsylvania. She attended Gettysburg College and Temple University, receiving a Masters Degree from Kean College in New Jersey. A media specialist for over 25 years at Henry Hudson Regional High School in Highlands, New Jersey; Eileen was deeply committed to her work and her students. A life-long learner, she loved books, travel, the outdoors, and especially gardening. She was a patient and meticulous gardener, and found great joy working in her own gardens and visiting those of others. She was a Cub Scout den mother, an active member of the NJEA and belonged to the Monmouth Beach Bath and Tennis Club.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Robert William Walsack and their children; Robert, Jr. and wife Joyce of Marlboro, Catherine and her husband Robert Hoffbauer, of Colts Neck, David Scott of Red Bank, and Christopher Todd of Long Branch. Eileen's nine grandchildren were her greatest joy. She will be forever missed and fondly remembered by Jennifer, Kelsey, William, Max, Annie, Madeline, Nicholas, Emily and Alec. She is also survived by two nieces and a nephew. Eileen was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Katherine Vaughan, her sister June, and her brother Gerald.
