Neil Zullo Obituary
Port Reading - Neil Zullo, a life long resident of Port Reading passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy.
Neil honorably served in the United States Navy during World War II and was involved in the invasion of Okinawa in 1945. Mr. Zullo was employed as the first letter carrier for the United States Post Office in Port Reading, retiring in 1986 after 30 years. He then went on to work for the Woodbridge Board of Education before officially retiring in 1991. Neil was a loving husband, father and adored grandfather who enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family.
Neil was predeceased by his son, Gregory Zullo as well as his nine siblings. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Betty Zullo; son, Glenn Zullo and his wife Lori; grandchildren, Shannon Grossman and her husband Justin, Eric and Kyle Zullo along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin at 9am on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from CHUBENKO FUNERAL HOME, 625 Port Reading Avenue, Port Reading followed by a 9:30am mass of resurrection at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church in Port Reading. Entombment will follow at St. James Cemetery Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at the funeral home.
