Richard R. Jacunski

AGE: 72 • Barnegat

Richard R. Jacunski, 72, of Barnegat, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at Southern Ocean Medical Center. Richard was born in New Britain, CT. He resided in Elizabeth and Brooklyn, NY prior to Barnegat where he has lived for the last 4 years. He is a graduate of Yale where he earned his BS in Industrial Administration. He went on to earn his MBA from Seton Hall University. He worked as a Business Broker in NJ as well as a Negotiations Engineer in Sales Marketing for Westinghouse, Newark, NJ.

He is predeceased by his parents, Harry and Ann; his sister, Anna Lee; and his twin brother, Robert. Richard is survived by his wife, Joyce Dul-Jacunski of Barnegat; three daughters, Johanna Weinberg, Elizabeth Purcell and Barbara Nina, all of NJ; two sisters, Carol Fiore of NH, and Margaret Monaco of PA; and six grandchildren.

Visiting will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4 at the Maxwell Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 at St. Mary's of the Pines Church, Manahawkin. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions to the National Audubon Society, www.audubon.org.
