Robert Doerr Obituary

Robert J. Doerr

Milltown - Robert J. Doerr (Bob), age 68, passed away June 29th, after a long battle with cancer. He was a lifelong resident of Milltown, NJ and a graduate of New Brunswick High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked at LeasaMetrics in Midland Park, NJ prior to his retirement in 1993. In retirement, he enjoyed gardening and was active in the Lawrence Brook Watershed Partnership. He took great pleasure in making creative CD's and DVD's for family and friends. He was an avid walker, and enjoyed talking with friends and neighbors on his treks around Milltown.

His parents, John C. Doerr and Helen A. Doerr, predeceased him. He will be missed by his brother Richard Doerr and his wife, Angela Doerr (South Plainfield, NJ), sisters Barbara Bailey (North Brunswick, NJ) and Patricia Faulkner and her husband, Robert Faulkner (Leland, NC), and his numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

A private burial with family is planned. Tribute donations in memory of Bob may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Central NJ, 145 Somerset St., New Brunswick, NJ 08901.
