Robert M. Kersting

Somerville - 88, Died June 5, 2019. Bob was born in Somerville NJ and raised in Somerville. After graduating from Somerville High School he worked for his father at the Charles Kersting Market, served in the US Air Force, and then attended and graduated from Ryder College. After college he worked for the Princeton Bank and Trust Co. and then opened his own accounting firm, Robert M. Kersting CPA, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed good food, good wine, good comedy, the NY Yankees and especially good friends and family. He also enjoyed going to concerts and watching baseball. His greatest enjoyment came from his grandchildren's successes and attending the Heartlands Hay Ride Radio Show live broadcast. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

He is predeceased by his wife Grace who died 2011, his son William who died in 1978 and a brother Carl Kersting and a sister Ethel Reed.

He is survived by his son Robert C. and his wife Ann Marie Mumm and two grandchildren, Noah and Sarah Ann.

Funeral services will be 11am Wednesday at Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave. Somerville. Visitation will be 7-9pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
