AGE: 29 • Pt Pleasant Boro
Rory D. Potter 29 of Pt Pleasant Boro died on Saturday February 14, 2015 at home. Rory was born in Pt Pleasant and was a lifelong resident. He was a Teamster Driver working out of Teamsters local 469 as the Track Foreman at Monmouth Park in Oceanport, NJ. Rory loved his family and his friends and was a friend to anyone he met. He was in the Shuffleboard league at the Idle Hour in Pt Pleasant where he had countless friends. Rory is survived by his loving parents Fred and Anna M. nee Siersema, his sister Kelly and her husband Tom LaVoie, his brother Fred III and his wife Gina and his beloved nieces and nephews; Carlin, Jaxon Rory, Fred IV and Alexander Kelley. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Friday February 20,2015 from 3-8pm at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home 901 Beaver Dam Rd Pt Pleasant, NJ. The funeral Service will be on Saturday February 21, 2015 at 11am at the Funeral Home. Committal will be Private. The Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St Catherine Blvd. Toms River, NJ is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be sent by visiting www.ryanfuneralhome.com

I met Rory in Nevada at a Teamsters convention. He was a good man and we had a few laughs, shared a common bond as "legacy members" who were born into the labor movement and we're proud to be Teamsters. Like they say, only the good die young. RIP Brother!
