Linda Gilbert Obituary

Linda Lee Gilbert
August 28, 1946 - March 28, 2025
Linda Lee Gilbert, 78, an 18-year resident of Sierra Vista, AZ passed away into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born in Bridgeport, CT to James T. & Kathleen M. Corriveau. She is predeceased by her parents; her sister, Jeanne Neuman; and former husband, Georges Gilbert. Survivors include her daughter, Ami (Matt) Gilbert; grandchildren, Riley and McKenzie of Long Island, NY; and her brother, Jimmy Corriveau.
Linny had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. She had an adventurous spirit and in her earlier years she loved to ride motorcycles and all the adventures that came with the biker scene. She had a kind heart and was always willing to help those in need. After raising her daughter, and to get away from the cold of the East coast, she moved to AZ to enjoy the warm weather and reconnect with her favorite cousin, Eleanor Gibbens (Lulu). Her cousins Katie and Chuck were entrusted to help and support her throughout her time in Sierra Vista. Linny made several friends and they enjoyed shopping and going to lunch.
We thank her close friend Linda Hunter, who was a great help to Linny as she began to experience health issues. We also thank the nurses and staff at Casa De La Paz Hospice, and the caregivers and staff at Via Elegante Assisted Living for their compassion and care of her. Also, the paramedics who so kindly and gently transported her to the hospital many times. You have been a great blessing to our family.
