Arthur Garland Wade

Arthur Garland Wade, 90, of Lubbock, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026. A brief graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia. Graveside services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Garland was born July 20, 1935, in Anson, Texas, to Alva and Clara Wade. He married Annie Beth (Drake) Wade on August 30, 1959; she preceded him in death. He graduated from Tulia High School in 1952 and from Texas Tech University in 1958. He enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as an architect and shared his passion for tennis with friends and students. He is survived by his son, Darrick Wade of Lubbock; daughters, Roxy and Laurie Wade of Marble Falls; their spouses; five grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Garland's name to establish a scholarship at Texas Tech University.
